What We Collect

Email address — when you subscribe to The AEO Brief newsletter. We store your email in a private Amazon S3 bucket. We do not sell, share, or rent your email to third parties.

Analytics data — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This includes pages visited, time on site, referral source, and approximate location (country/region level). IP addresses are anonymized.

AEO Checker URLs — when you use the AEO Readiness Checker, we fetch the URL you provide to analyze it. We do not store the URL or the analysis results.

How We Use Your Data

• To send you The AEO Brief newsletter (if you subscribed)
• To understand which content is most useful (analytics)
• To improve the site and our tools

Email and Newsletters

We send newsletters via Amazon Simple Email Service (SES). Every email includes an unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time with one click. We automatically remove addresses that bounce.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish users and track sessions. No advertising or tracking cookies are used beyond analytics.

Data Retention

Newsletter subscriber data is retained while your subscription is active. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. If you unsubscribe, your email is marked as inactive but retained for bounce prevention. To request full deletion, email hello@aeocafe.com.
